Assignment, NEW

Good old, faithful Forsythia! My heart jumps when I see these, the first and bravest of all blooming things. It means the new season is here!

Assignment, NEW

The Narcissis is one of the first new flowers to bloom, and this one seems to be shouting a big, open-faced "thank you" to the sun!

Some prefer starting feet first...

Assignment "GREEN"

Some of the ingredients of our St. Patrick's Day dinner

In our neck of the woods, green is not green is not green. Such variety!

Assignment "GREEN"

The jewels of the northwest. What else but raindrops!

Assignment, "GREEN"

Another "before" picture. In this case, a hydrangea before it shows its true colors.

Assignment "GREEN"

I love to catch some flowers before they get their colors. This is a columbine bud.

Assignment "GREEN"

Pacific Northwest green is so lush because of our blessed rain!

Asignment "END"

The last morning in Houston, we were having breakfast on my sister's veranda and this large armadillo patted past us. This then was the end of our trip; the back end of the critter.

The end of our day at the Houston Rodeo...

Assignment "END"

We went to The Biggest Rodeo in the World (Texas interpretation). This was most certainly The Biggest Hog I Ever Did See. The End to End all Ends!

Assignment "END"

We were in Houston, Texas during this assignment. I tried to get this Longhorn to stand; I thought his horns from behind would be a great "end" image. Alas, all I got was the behind.

"SELF-PORTRAIT" ASSIGNMENT

OK Group: this spot will be blank this week because I don't know how to use the self-timer on my camera yet! Besides, the only way such a photo could be done is to take it of me in the sick bed, hunkered down under the covers, tissue box on lamp table and bouquet of mixed tulips from my husband next to that. You might be able to see the electric blanket light on if it is one of my shiver times rather than sweating times. Truly, that is/has been my state the whole week's time of this assignment. So, imagine the above scene in your head and consider yourself better off than seeing a real photo!
