This was the very first photo I thought of when I heard our assignment. I took this in the art museum in Budapest; I had paid for being able to tote my camera with me. Of course I could use no flash and this 19th-century artist's work was in a corner. I was so pleased that my setting worked! It appears the girl is examining gems, being as she has adorned herself with some of them and she is inside. But I LOVE to collect agates from the beach, so I have named her "Agate Girl" because her demeanor and her treasures are exactly how I look at and feel about agates.

I LOVE this painting! I can identify oh so easily...I was an Agate Girl, too, on Lake Michigan beaches. Nice work with the light setting and white balance.
