Assignment: SCHOOL'S OUT

As soon as we got this assignment a whole week ago, I knew right away what I wanted to do. But I couldn't do it until school was actually out. I volunteered every morning this last school year at SMS, so that is where I headed to get my shots. It was kinda' sad not to see the halls filled with the kids.

mug shots from a day at the zoo

The Grizzlys were especially active and we spent a lot of time with them.

I really like this shot, but Rebecca, I need help. In color it was way too blown-out, so I changed to B&W. Still, Mr. Wolf is too glaringly white, I think.

Ya' gotta' love 'em! It is hard to catch an otter not in action. They have such entertaining moves and sweet faces!

Obviously Pat and I were enamored by the same characters!

I think this guy needed a toothpick!

ASSIGNMENT: Symmetry

Okay, Nature is the obvious and definite "first" in creating symmetrically. But Hungarians come in 2nd!

ASSIGNMENT: Symmetry

Practically every design in Hungary is carved or formed symmetrically This is on a door of a medievil building.

ASSIGNMENT: Symmetry

I agree with Pat! Nature provides every subject we can possibly image for our photo challenges. The hunt is the most fun homework I have ever had! I will look for more in nature for this assignment.

ASSIGNMENT: Depth

Pat and I decided that cloudy days are best for landscape; probably for any kind of photo. This is not news to professional photographers...we just had to wait for that "ah-hah!" moment to hit!
